Well, since the content is not fully live in FrontierVille at the moment of writing, we do have some problems understanding all the requirements of the Headless mission series… but we’re doing our best to keep up updated as much as possible. We’ve got now details for the Headless Part III mission, Horseman’s Rampage.
Therefore, the Headless Part III mission has, just like the previous quest, one mystery requirement (UPDATED!). Until then, prepare to be upset (probably) a little. Here are the requirements for the Headless Part III mission, Horseman’s Rampage:
-chop down 5 trees
-feed 5 neighbor horses
-help 5 neighbors scare off the headless horseman
You can only hope that your neighbors haven’t sold their horses yet – and you must find them and feed them. Also, have in mind that in order to scare the headless horseman from a neighbor’s homestead, you need will consume all your five tends, so make sure you waste none before scaring the Horseman!
Once you complete the Headless Part III mission, you will get to the next level, so good luck!

ok so are these new missions, i have been out of missions to do for a week. is this a glitch in the game. i just know i hope i have not finished it cause i really like this game.
Is anyone having a problem finding the horseman on your neighbor’s frontiers? He was there last night for me, but now that I have the 3rd mission I can’t find him anywhere
i cant find the 5th horseman..he has dissappered from all my neighbours..anyone know what to do..is there a way to get him back, or is it a wait until tomorrow thing??
The horseman was stuck behind a full size oak tree on one neighbor’s and on the other neighbor’s the neighbor was in the way.. she moved herself I guess from playing today and he dissappeared
How am I supposed to complete this.. where can I find him again and when are the glitches going to be gone.. It’s very aggravating when you want to play the game and are tired of just planting & harvesting crops, as well as collecting from buildings and your animals.. The game used to be so exciting to play and now… it’s starting to get boring with all their problems..
I’m also having problems finding horsemen at my neighbor’s homesteads. I found tons yesterday but none today.

I have been trying to get the horseman since 9AM EST.I am going around my list for the second time. I have actually seen the horseman twice but nothing happens. He doesn’t react to me.. My avatar goes right through him. I need 3 more to continue but I may throw the computer through the window before I get there. Very Frustrating.
I am having the same problems………my issue is “Do I go ahead and tend my neighbors and wait for the next reset or do I keep constantly going back to check?” This is very frustrating because this has not been explained……..Grrrrrrrrrr!
Same here. I was seeing the horsemen’s last night. Since I got the 3rd mission today. I can’t seem to find them any where.. For some reason Im not shocked *SIGH*

Same problem here, yesterday i could scare him away, but when i started mission III i cannot click him anymore. He is on two farms but wont respond and so i am stuck in this mission because it doesnt recognize my previous ‘scaring away’ actions.

Got the same problem, been stuck now for a whole day! The other problem I have is finding horses to feed, most of my neighbors sold their horses back. What to do?
if only one neighbor has horses that will do, you can feed and groom it and come back and do it again, than another comeback should finish this task. If you dont have any horses to feed, feel free to visit my homestead, I have several.

@TJ If you find even one horse you can tend it 5 times by feeding it and then brushing it (it counts as two times). Don’t touch anything else there, leave your neighbour’s homestead and visit them again immediately and repeat the same procedure on the horse (feed/brush). Leave once more and return for a last feeding.
I have had the same problem,i scared him away from 5 neighbours yesterday befor getting onto that mission and the min i had the mission ive not been able to find him,i was hopeing to log ontoday and for him to return but thats not the case,im just hoping he didnt appear 5 times only as if thats the case i cannot compleat the mission,im hoping they are working today,if not the bug will not be done untill monday

Thanks Elijah, it worked perfectly. Now just to get the headless horseman, nothing so far, been on more than 30 farms.
Glad I helped. I have the same problem with the horseman. Stuck since yesterday. Loads of them before I got the mission but none whatsoever now
I can’t find the last two to clobber myself. However I did discover the problem with the one’s you can see but not attack. They show up on your neighbors farm when the neighbor first starts the mission. So if they just built the graveyard and the horseman shows up for the first time. You can see it but not attack. Would really like to know why I found three to attack though and no more.
I also scared away the 5 horsemen from neighbours yesterday before the mission was released, now today he aint appeared. My son got to the same mission today and he is there, perhaps we shouldnt have done it first. But then again how were we supposed to know it was gonna be a mission.
Well folks i did the “wait till tomorrow thing”, and i still have not had him appear on anyone’s frontier..50 neighbours!! He was on 2 neighbours last night but was frozen so i could not click on him..believe me i tried..lots.!!! I have asked about and several of my neighbours are experiencing the same problem. No one has come up with a solution so lets hope Zynga posts something to explain it really soon..its getting extremely annoying!!!
I can’t even scare the horseman from my own land, he appeared right on the edge…maybe off the edge of my land and I can’t click it at all, been stuck since yesterday, also having lots of crashing problems with the game….usual problem I guess zynga add something new to a game and break it!
so back to yesterday’s post.. the 1 horseman stuck behind the oak tree well that neighbor is magically gone??? i’ve been on every neighbor’s page atleast 3 times from yesterday and today and still no show of the horseman.. i’ve only seen 1 neighbor complete that mission so wth is going on???
i have the same problem he showed up on my neighbors homestead all the time during the first mission and i beat him like 4 times but now on the third mission i cant find him anywhere
I am having the same problem with the horsemen they are either there and can’t click on them or there isn’t any there what so ever… Do friends have to do the mission also to get the horsemen?
I noticed yesterday that he appeared om homesteads without the graveyard. But today (at least for me) it’s stuck on two homesteads right on top of the graveyards at the farm en not clickable.
I’m so glad it’s not just me. I couldn’t find the horseman once I got to mission 3 either. Actually he’s on one homestead but I can’t click on him. zynga better hurry up and fix this considering it’s a limited time mission.

Why are people so impatient? The horseman appears a total of 5 times on your neighbours homestead in 24-48 hours (Havent confirmed if its actually 24 or 48) If you have killed it 5 times already before your mission 3 was up then you have to wait the 24 or 48 hours. It makes sense as the headless horseman drops a lot of collections items, gold, and even horseshoes. They can’t have the HH on every homestead as it would be potentially giving away a chance at 5 horseshoes at every homestead you visit which is ridiculous. Be patient people, there are other things to do then sit at your computer for hours on end stressing out over a game. Wait till the reset and visit your neighbours again, if you don’t see it then wait till the next reset as it may be 48 hours.
The HH will appear on almost every 2nd visit to a homestead if you haven’t already killed him 5 times. This is what I have experienced anyways. Relax people and stop bashing Zynga for you playing a FREE game.
Just so you know, I am with the many that killed the HH before I was on mission 3 so I have to wait to continue my mission. But no big deal. So, you can’t tell me I’m one of the few that it worked for and I don’t know what it’s like.
I helped my nephew today and we didn’t kill the HH until we had the mission 3 and all was good. You have 7 days to complete the mission which in reality should only take maybe a few hours if even. We learned from my mistake but I know I’ll have my time to kill the HH and finish my mission 3 quest.

Thank you for the information you gave… You do have to understand that there was no information stating this, all we knew was there was a problem with the game… I am sure now that people read, they will not bash at Zynga but only for not explaining the terms etc.

“Some players are reporting issues with the Headless Horseman and the associated line of quests. We are currently investigating issues with scaring the Horseman, and completing these quests. We are dedicated to getting everything working properly, and making your FrontieVille experience as fun as possible, and anticipate having these issues resolved very soon. We appreciate your patience while we work on a solution.”
So, this is a bug that sooner or later Zynga gonna fix!
@ mindless wanderer: Thanks for the info. At least we know it is a bug and actually Zynga is pretty good about getting things fixed with Frontierville (I am not making comments on other games though). I am also glad it isn’t just me. I have a friend with one on her land and I was clicking the crap out of it trying to kill it. All my little alien did was walk behind it.
guys I think it just got solved. I was having the same problem with many people here, (no horsemen now, but i scared them all off yesterday before mission III and then I got stuck)
I just logged in and it said mission complete and am now on mission IV.

Great except my trees won’t grow and can’t kill a bear, so can’t buy a cannon, still stuck.
Hazel: Why can’t you buy the cannon from the market? It’s showing as being something you can buy as well as earn.
It is the cannon to kill the headless horseman. Says can’t buy till bear and ghost bear are killed.
@Hazel Your trees will grow but this takes a couple of days. You can buy a full grown tree at the market but that costs you 5 or 6 horseshoes…..

so im stuck on mission 5… i click the note an hit the cannon get the head an try to finish the graveyard but for hours now it just keeps giving me “internet lost connection” an i have to keep redoing everything… ahh so annoying
