The FrontierVille Horse Corral is here and, even though at first it might not do too much in the game, I am sure that in the long run it will have a major impact on the gameplay. But until then, let’s see what is this FrontierVille Horse Corral and how to get it in our own Horse Corral Guide!
First of all, before getting to build the Horse Corral, you must purchase it from the Market for the immense cost of 10 coins and 5 wood. Them you will have to whack it 30 times at a cost of 1 energy and 7 wood per whack.
Now, let’s see what you need to build the Horse Corral in FrontierVille:
- 10 Horse Salt Licks
- 10 Hay Nets
- 10 Bags of Stone Grit
- 15 Gate Hitches
- 15 Lunge Lines
- 15 Fence Beams
As always, the first 3 items can be obtained by posting individual requests on Facebook, while the last three are obtained by asking your friends directly.
After completing the Corral, you will have the option to buy three horses from it and probably more will be released in the future:
Mustang: 45 Horseshoes
Thoroughbred: 80 Horseshoes
Quarter Horse: 40,000 coins
And only now the nice part comes into play: after buying horses and growing them into adult ones, you can start riding them (which is simply done by clicking the Ride Horse icon after clicking the horse) and start performing tasks with them: each horse can level up and perform better on the homestead! This means that you will be able to perform your tasks on the homestead and on neighbors’ homesteads faster (since you’re riding a horse)! Pretty cool!
There are also new treats available for the horses: Apple, Carrot and Sugar Cube, but these appear to be bonuses for faster leveling and not requirements!
All in all, I am sure that we’ll all consider this a really cool feature introduced to the game and finally one that has something to do with the Frontier!

@Denise…Your delusional, It is a free game your given a free option with the third horse! Zynga has a right to charge for the others and a right to make money off of their designs!

I would say that plenty of people care, given the number that have been leaving Frontierville for the past several months. Zynga has frustrated a lot of players, so much so that now Zynga tries to make you get new persons to play the game just to finish quests. But it is their own fault, because of their incompetence to begin with.
I have been playing this game a long time and am getting very annoyed with the personal requests we have to send out to people to get items. All of my friends in the game have stopped playing because you need horseshoes for everything which means now it takes me days to ask the few friends that do play for the items required to finish the buildings. I dont mind the posting to the wall ones but requests to their inbox’s take me forever. Im about to quit playing this game because there is no way I can keep up on the missions before more and more come out. At this rate I dont stand a chance.
Not one of my friends/neighbors have quit. In fact I just got another friend to start playing. I like having lots of missions/badges/collections to finish. It keeps me entertained. I love repeatable missions as well.

Athena, and all others that cry about this. This is a SOCIAL game!! meaning that you have to work with neighbors to get the job done if you don’t like this part of the game it is simple. CLICK THE RED X and NEVER come back. If you need neighbors it is not a hard thing to get I know of a few different sites that make it very easy to do so. If the speed is a problem try using Firefox. I had a problem with speed with IE and Google Crome, and this garbage about horseshoes is getting old, so what!! Save up or use something else there is NOT one thing in the game that can not be done without them. SO use a slower horse, it will take you a bit longer to get the task done. If anyone needs a new neighbor please add me just let me know it is for frontierville.
What happens to the old horses? I was actually saving them for something like this in the game. So, the old horses are no good to me. I should just sell them for the new horse?
Cassandra…your old horses remain exactly the same as they were and the new horses cannot be tended in the same way. Keep the old horses for buy/sell profit purposes just like any other animal.
Really happy to have the corral addition and being a horse addict i’m loving the new horses offered. Think it would be good though if more people could be thankful and appreciate that Zynga offers free online games suitable for any computer literate person to play. During those frustrating times when the game’s not running smoothly or you can’t buy what someone else bought, it might help to keep in mind that Zynga, like any major company, incurs massive costs and their offering of a few items for purchase is not unreasonable given it helps keep the games free of cost for those of us who do enjoy playing it, even if it means we play it without the prettiest horse in town. Actually there are things you can’t do in the game without buying horseshoes.
The horseshoe pit badges require you to score at least 5 points to get to level 1, and after that the amount you need to score is higher. You can only complete these badges by buying horsehoes as you only get 1 free go per day and the max you can get is 3 points.
I agree about the use of horseshoes being a problem for those who dont have the cash, and the difficulty is that often you embark on missions only to find at some stage horseshoes are required which leaves me feeling ripped off. Its a trick to get fans so hooked in they will pay. Dont listen to Jamie or Vonnie, they are into name calling… delusional, whine whine whine, thats all putdowns. I care even if they dont and I have learnt that those people who are into putdowns are almost always projecting their own stuff onto others. It tells you more about them than who they are referring to, they may also only be 12 yr olds and these kinds of responses are expected from this age group. Anyway I am enjoying playing this game and I am playing only with the free stuff. Im not using my horseshoes and Im not buying either and Im still enjoying it.
Hi – how do you use the Carrot Treats, etc.? Every time I click on use nothing happens. Maybe I’m just stupid, but can someone please help?
