You probably noticed recently that Zynga has come up with a new idea to make things a bit more challenging for us: there are item limits for the number of mission items that we can have at a time in our inventory. For example, we can only have 15 Shelf Brackets or 20 Blue Pigment, to mention just a few of the most recent ones.
As you can imagine, the item limit in FrontierVille / Pioneer Trail is starting to get some players upset because, they say, there should be no such limit. And thee are some points to make this valid.
The most important problem with the item limits, at least when it comes to items that we need to ask from our friends, is that we have limited requests too and we can only send them every 12 hours (while many send them once per day). This means that even if we get more, we can’t hold them and this is a bit outrageous.
Also, maybe it would be a little easier to accept if we knew exactly how many of which items we can hold before starting to send the requests to plan ahead a little and make things easier. And finally, the item limit in FrontierVille makes little sense for a mission that requires us 70 items (for example) and we’re only allowed to hold 15 at a time.
On the other hand, it is the item limits that make things more challenging and probably most of the non-hardcore players won’t really get upset by that because they won’t hit that upper limit anyway. But the missions lately have been challenging enough, so this extra challenge might be a bit too much.
I also believe that the item limit has been introduced to Pioneer Trail / FrontierVille to keep the game as secure and smooth as possible – even though we still have problems now and then, probably if we were allowed to hold more, the problems would be bigger.

I personally, think that the new limits they JUST started to impose on us, are ridiculous!! Only being able to hold 13 cloth, and we have to make this things over and over, when it takes 6 to make something, is for the birds!!!. They should be increasing the amt of posts that we can click on, to 75/60, per day, 75 items to click to help others, and the 60 clicks that we can crab the bonuses our friends post from completing missions… not governing the limit of items needed for missions, in our inventory, all they are doing, is making it soo hard, that we will FEEL like our only recourse is to PAY MONEY to pass these ridiculous repeating missions!! SHAME ON ZYNGA!!! RAISE OUR LIMITS, DON’T IMPOSE AN INVENTORY GOVERNOR, ON INVENTORY LIMITS!!!!!
The limits are very flustrating with all the issues and bugs! Not to metion the missions like a couple that I’m working on now where you need 130 of one 1,000,000 of another. It’s also crazy to have no way to obtain certain items except with horse shoes! Some of us are on limited incomes and can’t afford hoseshoes. I am one of those people who’s only enertainment is the internet. There are so many issues with posting and game play that the limits are enough to take the fun away for playing and very discouraging!
I think that it is time to put everything into perspective. I agree that it is a bad idea to hold limited items for a mission. I also feel that it can be extremely overwelming because there are so many missions coming at once and frustrating as you are limited with requests and only ask for help from neighbours every 12 hours. It takes forever to accomplish the missions put before us. Also having numerous missions where you have to travel is difficult for people with limited access. Please make the game more userfriendly and not withhold items, raise the limits, allow gamers the ability to ask as many people as they choose. Otherwise gamers are going to give up and not continue to play.

I have been unemployed for almost 2 years. I have been looking for work with no succes and it is very frustrating. This game is my only form of entertainment and stress release. NOW with the limits and all the problems it is ADDING to my stress!!!!!!!. Also, am I the only one to notice, that we have been complaining about have to beg neighbors for things, now zynga has INCREASED the number of things we have to beg for AND put a limit on how many we can hold? I also hate having to do the same mission 3 to 4 times. I do not mind doing them twice, but beyond that is just plain STUPID!!!!!!!!
only 50 clics by day and some of them are missing because too many items!! this game become too much difficult. Zynga only wont the payers paied! so sorry….. Many players stop to play Pioneer Trail Game! Money… Always money…
This game use to be fun. Not anymore. Most of my good higher level neighbors have stopped playing. because of all the begging for items over and over and over. Me myself am on the verge just to block it and be gone with it. we don’t get paid to put up with zynga’s crap. and the issues are never fixed they just bring out more games and more problems. I have had an issue with the greenhouse since it came out. I have contacted them over and over and over. And what have they done about it? not one thing. Sure if i was a regular horseshoe buyer then they might. Seems that is all zynga wants anyways is money we spend on horseshoes. And animals that require to buy with horseshoes or trees. and yet they won’t upgrade the orchard or give us more land. yet they bring out more and more buildings. not even a real job is this frustrating. no wonder everyone is leaving and going to other games.
These limits are ridiculous! This game is challenging enough, now there are limits?! WTF! This change is about the last straw for me. It takes to much time, effort. It is no longer fun.
It is terrible. A lot of players, once they reach their limit, simply won’t help any more until they use some of them. And using them is dependent upon other limited items which we have to ask for and collect.
It is becoming an exercise in frustration to play this game, and now even more challenging due to these ridiculous restrictions. I am a level 108 player, have spent WAY too much on horseshoes (just to complete missions now that 75 per cent of my former neighbours have stopped playing due to the demands of this game) and am at the point of pulling the plug on this game. I quit playing FarmVille some months back so I could focus and do this one right (liked this better as it was just plain more fun). Now I’m thinking that Pioneer Trail is going to have to go too. Unless there are some fundamental changes in the gameplay and requirements, I’m done. First step… GET RID OF THE #@$*#*! restrictions!
Very bad idea, please get rid of it ! We have enough trouble playing the game with all those bugs.
I posted a request for iron balls. I need 24 in total and already had 12, so I posted to get those. Well, I didn’t, so I went and used up 12 of my 50 in order to collect the 12 I was missing. When I went into the game, I had 15!!! If there is going to be a limit on items, (a) post that in the mouse-over or right on the page and (b) prevent my 50 from being used up when I try to collect items where I’ve already reached the limit!!! My 50 actions are precious because I need so much stuff and here I just wasted 12. NOT HAPPY. When I started this game, it was leisurely, as it should be. Now, it’s work.
