It appears that Zynga is ready to kick of the Labor Day extravaganza today, and they started rolling in the update (which appears to be a HUGE one!) with the Labor Day Collection! Check it out below (click the image to enlarge):
As you can see, the items required to complete the Labor Day Collection are (and I’ve also updated with how you can get each of the items required to complete the collection):
- Book Strap (get it by harvesting Clover)
- School Bell (get it by harvesting neighbor Potatoes)
- Paddle (get it by tending neighbor Tomatoes)
- Wormy Apple (get it by harvesting Apple Trees)
- Globe (get it by either tending or harvesting neighbor Corn)
Even nicer is the fact that the Labor Day Collection, once completed and traded in, rewards you with a Free School Wagon, a brand new decoration that is not available for purchase anywhere! Pretty cool!

i got the globe from a neighbors corn and got the wormy apple from my apple tree but think the others are gonna be hard to get. Anyone else get the item from the clover or the tomatoe or the potatoe?
The tomatoes are impossible to get when all neighbors visit each other at a different time. Shame on you for that one. Love the game but a 15 min crop window does not work. Just like the Liberty Bell impossible to get the collection
yeah but it says TENDING neighbors tomatoes…..so i would think that means if they are wilted even then u can revive them and it still counts for it…..so the time limit on the tomatoes wouldnt matter then. But if u have to harvest the potatoes then that is gonna be a paiin.

I have been planting and harvesting clover all day not a peek of a belt
same here…..and i am still planting and harvesting……errrrrrrrrrr
i have fount all of them but the bell and paddle this is so aggeravating
i need the bell and the book straps…..i got the paddle….but have gone thru many clover so far and nothing….its frustrating. So is the bell…lol..
I got the paddle…and it never went in my collection…..I also have the apple & globe. Been doing clover all day and no book straps.
hang with it. I got the book straps earlier tonite. I had to farm alot of clover but just keep going.
aggrevating is not being about to do any because the Labor Day Mission is not in my market for me even to start. According to Gary W at support, there is a problem (obviously only affect some of us), the developers are working on a fix and it should be fixed soon. Well, that was 8 hrs ago now. Still no mission in the market.
So how is everyone and the Labor Day questing doing today? All i need is the bell from the potatoes and i am keeping my fingers crossed tonite that when i visit my neighbors that i will get it.
can someone tell me if the potatoes have to be withered in order for the bell to drop……or can they be growing and just tend to them……..or what?

Tina, Tending is when u water or unwither crops. Harvest is harvest. lol.. I got a bell from harvesting. Best luck is to harvest potatoes for the bell. Its the hardest item to find and the strap. U should try trading on FrontierVille Facts, in case u havent already are.

I had to also laff yesterday i got a mystery gift and it was a tombstone and i told my gf, that is in preparation for me if i dont get my bell……..lol……it will be the death of me…..lmao…..

1st the book strap i got it yesterday after planting/harvesting 40 clovers, wormy apple from 25 apple trees in my farm, next is the paddle after tending 30 tomatoes from my neighbors,
the 4th is the globe… tending/harvesting 28 corns, and last the very difficult and hard to get is the school bell, i got it after harvesting 70 potato crops from my neighbors .
Jennifer – did you get the bell harvesting a neighbor’s potatoes or your own? just wondering. It’s frustrating because very few of my neighbors are planting the crops I need for this collection!

One thing i did was sent my neighbors a message and asked them to plz plant lots of taters on their land so that i could do this quest….u might try that……..
I have potatoes, tomatoes, corn planted 24 hours a day until labor day is over.
Feel free to add me. I know only two days left but you never know. I’m having the same problem finding neighbours planting the right crops to find these all I need is the bell and paddle.
I have a question. If i have my collection complete for the Labor Day stuff that gets you the school bus, does it have to be turned in by a certain time? Does anyone know.
I got it from harvesting a neighbors potatoes. U can turn the collection in any time u want. Its just like the independence day collection. Its over already but the collection is still wanted and being traded to be turned in. hehe

I finally got my collection and just wanted to double check about turning it in.
I wasnt playing this game when independance day was going but i would like to collect the pieces for the collection. I do have the powder horn from that collection and would like to collect the other 4 pieces.
So if there is anyone out there that has any xtra of the Independance Day pieces they could share i might have something to share back that u need. Plz let me know…..

I tried one suggestion that tending withered tomatoes will get the paddle and it worked for me..I have tended lots of ripe tomatoes and I never got even one paddle, but when I tended the withered ones, I got it on my first try…

I obtained 4 paddles by clicking on the wither tomatoes of my neighbors. I obtained 3 globes by harvesting the corn on my neighbor’s frontier. I obtained the book strap by using my husband to harvest clovers on my own land that I had to unwither with unwither magic. I am still looking for the school bell. I am not even looking for the school collection for me. I am helping a few neighbors complete the collection…
I have a Labor Day Collection that i am willing to trade for the Independance Day collection minus the powder horn. The powder horn is the only piece i do have and i need 4 other pieces. Plz give me a shout if u wanna trade. Or also, i have 2 mysterious pets and am on my second collection of that one and have 3 pieces of the 5. Will trade those for the Independence collection also and neighbor u so u can feed and groom my mysterious pets for other 2 pieces.

I dunno if this will help but I got the belt thing after only planting about 75 clover, the only thing I can think of why it was so fast is that in the school house I have been completing those school lessons, one of the ones I have done is “get collectibles more often’ or something like that. So just a thot for anyone who is at their wits end about that friggin’ clover, maybe try and complete that, basically it’s buy it and then get a certain number of spitballs, slates etc.
ha, its bull it took me 500 clovers just to get the bookstrap which was my last item i needed. but heres something to help u all it tells u the chances u got to get the items u want. good luck
