A new timed mission is being readied by the Zynga team to be released in FrontierVille, and it is titled FrontierVille Legends I: Paul Bunyan. Before getting to the requirements and rewards of this new FrontierVille mission, let’s find out who this Paul Bunyan is, according to Wikipedia:
Paul Bunyan is a mythological lumberjack who is usually described as a giant as well as a lumberjack of unusual skill. The character was first documented in the work of U.S. journalist James MacGillivray in 1910. In 1916, as part of an advertising campaign for a logging company, advertisement writer William Laughead reworked the old logging tales into that of a giant lumberjack and gave birth to the modern Paul Bunyan legend, thereby making Paul Bunyan a fakelore character.
Now back to the game, here are the requirements for completing the FrontierVille Legends I: Paul Bunyan Mission:
- Harvest 20 Wheat
- Collect 15 Maple Sirup
- Sell 20 Adult Oxen
The requirements are pretty high, especially if you don’t have the required Adult Oxen (which you should purchase right away and start feeding!) but the time allowed for completing this mission should be long enough: 10 days!
If you manage to complete the FrontierVille Legends I: Paul Bunyan timed mission before the time expires, you will receive a reward of 750 XP, 5 Sharp Axes and a Blue Ox (you can see it in the image above)

The rewards just ain’t gettin’ it Zynga.
are you seriously whining about the rewards? Good God Zynga can’t win at all.. People get upset when there are no mission, then there are too many missions, they are too easy, now its too hard, the rewards are not good enough, the buildings dont match the “theme” of the game.. For the love of God will you people just stop complaing and enjoy the game or stop playing.. Yes, sometimes the game is a little annoying but its just a GAME.
i was hoping they were gonna have a mission to follow up the canning missions for ppl who finished them that it helps replenish ALL (well some of) the food they wanna take from u lol
I total agree with “Just me”
@Dee ….some of us were smart enough to complete the canning missions and keep all our food
I agree with Dee. Vonny, what’s the point of playing if you’re not even going to do the missions.
@Vonny How did you keep all of your food and complete the mission? Please share……
To keep your food while completing the canning missions, wait until you almost have the required amount of food for each mission, then purchase the remaining amount using horseshoes. For example, if you’re doing the first mission, collect about 14900 food, and then Unlock the remaining amount using horseshoes. It should only cost you one horseshoe, and you’ll get to keep all your food to use towards the next canning mission. Keep doing this for the rest of the canning missions, and by the time all is said and done, you will reap the rewards for each mission, while at the same time you’ll be able to keep all that food!
To keep all of your food in the canning mission:
When you are just about ready to reach the food level (within 75 food left to collect) For ex: If you are on 49,900, for the 50,000 level, look at the required amount of horseshoes to complete.
Buy that part of the mission with your horseshoes. It will only take a few AND you get to keep your food!!!! It works with the 100,000 food as well. Just be careful not to get to close and go over!
Hope this helps and I didn’t confuse you!!
Thank you so much!!!! I am having a hard enough time getting to the 10,000 one.
How long does it usually take for a oxen to grow to adult
if you feed it every day?
@Marge….i did the missions completed all 4 parts…..theres no mission thats been released that i havnt finished…. i just play the smart way
and no ive never spent real money on the game
Hi Vonny,
Please can you share?? How did you manage to do that?
Jules
x
They should make it repeatable
help
@Jules read the msgs above mine they’ve already explained it
Thanks Vonny,
I thought he had found a way around it without using horseshoes
@Jules….well if you do it right you’ll only need 4HS to finish all 4 parts (1HS per food level)…. And you can get those by levelling up or trading in the collections from the Inn …. no real money required and keep all your food….after finishing them i had 100,000 food….given i lost almost all of my saved lunches(had about 400
) but now a few weeks later ive recovered most of my lunches and ive 100,000+ food
i am trying to complete this quest and i have sold 40 ox and it still says i have not sold any and they are all grown what is up with that?
@ Stacy make sure they are Adult. If they are I would contact Zynga support. I have only had to contact them two times but they did take care of the problem I was having.
