UPDATE: The Games.com Blog has word from Zynga that this mission is nothing but a hoax, so there is no Davy Crockett mission coming in FrontierVille! Sorry, folks!
Zynga is still working really hard on delivering us new missions in the FrontierVille Legends series – now it’s FrontierVille Legends V: Davy Crockett mission we’ve got word on, immediately after finding out about Cordwood Pete’s mission. Please have in mind that this mission is still unreleased and might change when Zynga decides to make it go live in the game!
Here are the requirements for completing the FrontierVille Legends V: Davy Crockett mission in FrontierVille:
- Clobber 20 Bears
- Collect 15 Coonskin Caps
- Collect 3 Daily bonuses from the Cabin
This is a potentially difficult mission due to the bear clobbering requirement: Bears have a 100% drop rate when you completely chop down a fully grown tree, so you should be really safe if you had 20 trees to cut down when you start the mission especially since you only have 10 days to complete the Davy Crockett mission and the fastest tree (the Pine) is fully grown in about 11 days…
After completing this mission, you will receive a reward of a Bear Cart, 750 XP and 500 Coins.
The missions get more lame by the minute and the rewards…the same.
Can we get this and cordwood at the same time. It would help getting the bears while cutting 100 trees.
@ Bob..maybe if you do not start it immediately and give it almost until the end of the start time it will allow you to have two at the same time,,and that way will let you get everything else in your inventory for when you start,,
COUNT ME OUT!!! kill 20 bears..yeah…they wait til they know you have had to chopped down trees for other missions..then they bring another bear quest…NO THANKS..they are rapidly losing me and many of my friends!
Seriously how do ppl not get the point of never chop your fully grown trees unless you want bears????? If you need to chop a certain amount of times just buy that many saplings the cheap and each give you a chop…. for one of the frontier camp missions you need to chop oak trees 100 times …. sure to buy 100 oak saplings cost around 50,000 coins but if you dont have 50,000 coins to spare than you just play like a fool coins and wood are the two things i always have tons of…actually have tons of food too ppl just dont think or play strategically! Its always the ppl that dont wanna think that b*tch the most about new missions!
good grief.. can you not be happy at all?…. buy trees or use the ones that were given to you as rewards and let them grow NOW.. stop crying like a 2 year old. I have never had problems getting bears while chopping.. usually after the 5th chop I havea bear.. I use the lunches/dinners/baskets given to me to refill energy.. I also tend to keep one of each varmit on hand in-between missions for when I need one….
@Jen….im glad to see some other ppl actually plan ahead and dont just give out till zynga gives them a free ride!

As soon as I read about this possible mission, I planted 20 pine trees in a random place specifically for the 20 bears needed to be clobbered. I didn’t want to chop down my lovely forests for this one. If it doesn’t come to fruition, then it will give my neighbors something to do:)
