Howdy pardners! As promised, I am writing this guide for the Oregon Trail, an article that will show you all the new features that have been announced by Zynga for the upcoming release of the Oregon Trail. Here you will find everything you need to know about the new area in FrontierVille, with screenshots and all the details, so please share this complete article with all your friends to help us too! First off, the burning question: When will the Oregon Trail be launched? This feature will go live on May 30th, but in order to make sure that you get a spot for the trip, you will have to complete the Oregon Ho! mission by then, otherwise you might miss it completely!
Now, in order to head over to the Oregon Trail and experience all its greatness, we will have to get up in the Conestoga Wagon (at the moment it’s unclear if we will have to purchase it, build it or it will be delievered as-is):
But only getting up in the Wagon won’t be enough! You will need three of your friends to join in and have one of the three roles listed and detailed below:
Now here is what each character will be responsible for: The Hunter will rustle up vittles:
The Carpenter will fix things (especially the wagon):
And a Doctor to, obviously, cure the sick:
There will also be a place called the Beaver Valley in the Oregon Trail where we’ll be able to send messages to our friends and interact with them (like sharing medical supplies and more). Also, the Beaver Valley won’t be the only place where we’ll be able to communicate with other people that are also traveling on the Oregon Trail:
The Oregon Trail will also deliver us a lot of new adventures, according to the trailer: encounters with other homesteaders and travelers:
Encounters with wild animals, like the Wolves:
Lost Pioneers:
Avalanches:
And traders that will be there to help us with things… for a price:
Also, the Oregon Trail will deliver “giganterous” social missions where lots of firends will have to help you to complete them (the example presented is the Hundred Buckets Brigade mission):
Along the way on the Oregon Trail in FrontierVille, you will gather up supplies and goodies that can be traded for extra missions, upgrades for the Conestoga or simply be sent back home to your homestead!
And eventually, you will reach your destination: Fort Courage!
The Oregon Trail will also deliver weekly leaderboards to make things even more exciting, where you will compete against your friends for the top spot:

this is a good thing as long as it works and doesn’t lose stuff and if counts all of what you have done and don’t have to repeat missions 4 & 5 times to complete i really hope it works or they will have some ticked off frontier folks

I wish there was a way to get all the gifts at a time instead of one at a time. I really
appreciate all the gifts that folks send but it takes a looooong time to get them all.
I just got my mission for the Oregon Trail…very excited about the new challenges even when I have a lot unfinished,,I am a new player(since last tueday) but I got instantly hooked on Fontierville,,it’s awesome,,
how do you get the mission
So today is May 30th and nothing happened when does the Oregon trail start, and is it in Frontierville or on its own site? Does anyone know?
People Zynga NEVER said the trail was going to open on the 30th. The Only thing that was said about the 30th was in the Timed mission Getting ready for the Oregon Trail, you have to the 30th or Doc Auburn’s nephew will leave with out you. Nothing about it coming out and then you have to June 30th to get the McBaggins missions done. SO dont look for it anytime soon, plus Zynga is getting sued over copy rights. So it might even be longer now.
