Sooner or later, something like this was going to happen and from now on we’ll see more and more of these scamgroups that will try to lure you in promising all sorts of FrontierVille goodies for free – but watch out because most of them are SCAM!
The first FrontierVille scam I am aware of is a group called “FrontierVille- Get 1000 Horseshoes Right NOW” which, as the name suggests, promises 1,000 Lucky Horseshoes for FREE for the first 20,000 people who become fans of the page. They even have some (probably fake) accounts that commented on the page saying that it indeed works and they have won 1,000 Horseshoes for free, but it is actually nothing but a lie.
Because there are more steps you have to take in order to “Win” the horseshoes in FrontierVille: you first have to like the page, then share it with your friends and eventually you might end up taking a survey or signing up for something that will actually cost you money or, in the best case, just win some money for the person that has created the group in the first place.
So please be very careful when deciding to join such groups on Facebook that promise you tons of Horseshoes or other items for free – they can’t and won’t offer them to you unless they’re Zynga. Which they are NOT. So please stay safe, because otherwise you might end up spending some money rather than scoring some freebies!
