Zynga is planning the release of the Blacksmith Shop in FrontierVille and they’re doing so via the Blacksmith Missions. I was tempted to believe (or hoping would be a better word) that the Blacksmith will allow us to construct weapons for the upcoming Oregon Trail, but apparently it’s a more peaceful building (although there are still some items that suggest the introduction of weapons in the future). But read on to find out everything about the FrontierVille Blacksmith Shop.
In order to build it, you will need to purchase the frame from the market for 1,500 Coins and 200 Wood then whack it 20 times at the cost of 20 wood and 1 energy per whack. Then, you need the following construction materials to finish the Blacksmith Shop in FrontierVille:
- Quench Bucket, Crucible, Granite (get them by sending direct requests to friends)
- Ash dump, Rivets and Junk Metal (get them by posting on your Facebook Wall)
After completing the FrontierVille Blacksmith Shop, you can go inside and start using the Crafting Workbench: there are 4 items that you can craft inside: Coal (costs 200 wood and 4 fire), Iron Ingot (costs 2 coal and 10 Iron Ore), Harvester (costs 3 Iron Ingot and 500 Wood), Feeder (costs 3 Iron Ingot and 500 food).
Basically, these items are there to reduce the number of food and wood that most of us have on our homesteads and it stands to thousands and tens of thousands, because the actual usability of the items is not that impressive even though it does save some time:
The Feeder allows you to feed 5 animals at a time
The Harvester allows you to harvest 5 crops at a time
And that would be it: at least now we have the building for weapons, and that’s cool enough, I say!
Finally a half decent mission
How in the heck are we supposed to get that much iron ore? This is outrageous. My friends can only give so much.
Give Iron Ore, Get Iron Ore – boom, you’re done (I am).
it may not do you any good getting them anyway..everytime i put the sythe or the feeder on my frontier the game crashes and judging by the lack of posts i think other people may be experiencing the same problem !!!
Is anyone more than me that have problem with SLOW acting??? Every click, every move takes such a time!!! every click takes between 3-6 sec. Please let me know if you have heard anyone else having the same problem. And to clear the cache doesn´t work …i tryied that. It is the Zynga game that doesnt work. Btw…it is the same on Farm ville and TReasure isle.
After some proms with getting feeder and harvester onto my stead(blasted internet prob changed browser) i have finally completed everything whoop must say rewards are poor though.!!!
Hopeless…not beiing able to play without BLASTED INTERNET…..

How do I get my harvester to work? The feeder is working okay, but the harvester does not do anything when click it over the trees.

The harvester is for crops only NOT trees

Try using a different browser to load your homestead you may be able to craft the things you need and the new goal is coyotes
the harvester does crops the feeder does animals, it won’t do any trees
This mission is buggy as all hell, when I first did it it it dropped the connection several times before it worked. They are too busy pumping out missions rather than bug test them first, a very very blase company zynga. For every person complaining, there are about another 100 people starting to play so fixing the problems is the last thing they will do.
My 5th mission for blacksmith says collect ten aprons then says 0/15 ??????
