Zynga is slowly rolling out a new building in FrontierVille, a really interesting one in terms of building – the Ponderosa Lodge can’t be finished unless we complete the new series of 4 Ponderosa Lodge missions, which is a first in the game and probably a route that Zynga is planning to follow in the future.
Also, in order to be able to get the Ponderosa Lodge building, you must have a completed Cabin, otherwise you won’t be able to purchase it from the market.
The Ponderosa Lodge in FrontierVille costs 950 coins and 20 wood to purchase, then it must be whacked 7 times at a cost of 1 energy and 10 wood per whack and only afterwards, you can start collecting the required materials for the building. Here are the building supplies that you are required to have for the Ponderosa Lodge in FrontierVille:
- 20 Elbow Grease, 10 Gas Lamp and 10 Insulation (you get these by posting requests on your Facebook Wall)
- 15 Rivets and 15 Banister (you get them by sending direct requests to neighbors)
- 15 Adobe Bricks (you can only get them by completing the A Man’s Home Is His Castle FrontierVille Mission)
At the moment, I don’t know exactly what usability this building will have and what items can be crafted inside, but stay tuned as I will update this article with new info as soon as I have it.

Actually, for me the rivets and banister you post on wall, and the other items must be asked directly. I suggest starting a storage shed expansion, that way you can ask for grease on your wall too.

I just found out a good “cheat” for the food. You will have to get the food and I only tested this in the last batch of 100 000 food. The trick is simple and will cost 1HS.
When you have almost 100 000 food you can unlock the step for 1HS and you will finish the mission while the food will remain as well.

Another damn building on FrontierVille. Why don’t they just rename it FarmVille II already. It’s like at this point they aren’t even TRYING to hide the fact that they’ve created FarmVille v. 2.0.
Let me guess, soon CityVille will have crop changes and will slowly descend to FarmVille v. 3.0? Or PetVille will re-emerge and you can plant innocent little tomatoes in your garden outside your house. Eight months later you can raise sheep and cows.
Man I hate zynga. Like, a LOT.
I am enjoying the Ponderosa mission…once this house is completed, I am deleting one of the cabins and replacing it with this lovely home…
I Love this game….just have to remember its JUST a game! LOL Sometimes I do get REALLY frustrated…I don’t think they have everything for the missions ‘complete’ before sending them to us…Oh well…its fun….Still waiting for the 4 expansions….Buffalo Range..Snake Canyon…Etc….I have played 4-5 other games and have deleted all and just keep Frontierville…my husband also plays and I help him…he’s ARMY so very busy. JUST HAVE FUN.
