The FrontierVille Horseshoes are the “solid” currency of the game (virtual currency), similar to FarmVille’s Farm Cash or the Cafe Coins in Cafe World. Basically, Horseshoes are purchased with real money to make in-game transactions and get all sorts of exclusive goodies, from energy refills to unique decorations or buildings. Therefore, it’s not that easy to get more Horseshoes in FrontierVille, at least not without paying! Let’s see how you can get more, though.
The easiest way to buy horseshoes is by clicking the “Get Horseshoes” button from the top of the game page:
First, you’ll have to select the currency, then the amount of horseshoes you wish to buy. Usually, the more horseshoes you get, the better the price per unit is. Finally, you select how to pay for the virtual currency in FrontierVille and you’re ready to go!
However, if you don’t want to pay for the Horseshoes, there are still some ways to get FREE Horseshoes in FrontierVille! There are three methods and an upcoming one that will give you some extra free horseshoes:
- Complete offers to get horseshoes by clicking the Get Horseshoes tab and scrolling to the bottom. Depending on the country you are living in, you’ll get more or fewer options:
- Level up – every time you level up, you get one extra lucky horseshoe and they add up quite nicely!
- Complete the School Collection as instructed in our guide on collections. You will earn one free FrontierVille horseshoe for every collection you trade in.
- This is a future option and some time must pass before it becomes available: complete special offers and earn some extra Horseshoes!
Please have in mind that you can only get FrontierVille horseshoes from Zynga and their partners, only from playing the game on Facebook. Any Facebook group that promises to give you thousands of horseshoes is nothing but a SCAM! So please think twice before joining such groups or websites that promise you horseshoes: you can lose money and get nothing in return!

Frontierville is a cool game, but why are the best items sold for horseshoes and so expensive, surely if they were cheaper more players would by them and you’d get more money to improve the game.

I love this game, but I am at the end of the goals that have been released so far and anxiously hoping they create new ones before I get there! To everyone waiting for mass quantities of free horseshoes…its a scam and you have probably just opened yourself up to being hacked as well. You have to earn the horseshoes or buy them with real cash…there are no legit sites just handing them out. Been playing since week 1 and hoping new goals are coming or those signs that have been coming soon since Day 1 start to work!!

the only OFFICIAL WAY to get free horeshoes is the Zynga tool bar that is all.
For the second time your game has taken away horseshoes for no reason. I was saving up to get the cotton crop but for the second time your game took my horseshoes before I could get the 10 horseshoes that I needed. Your game owes me 12 horseshoes. I also have stop being able to get the daily energy bonus that I was getting. All I get is that it is an invalid request. I really like this game but I am getting fed up with these problems that I am having.
seems Im always needing horseshoes,I use them up as fast as I get them,I cant afford to buy horseshoes to play this game.you need to give several horseshoes,you really need to give some out,if you want people to continue playing.I completed every lesson in the schoolhouse mission,an it didnt give me anything,some of these quests are very hard an time consuming,it would be worth it,if we got horseshoes as a bonus.
This game is fun just like some of the other facebook games around but nothing can be played for very long. I work and when I get home I’d like to play the game for a while and not zap out all my energy in 5 minutes then sit there bored. How lame are these game makers anyway- oh wait I know… they’re in it for the money so if you want to sit and play you better fork over the cash! Oh wow great .. how about I head over to big fish and play games as long as I want. Thanks morons.
The only real problem with the game Frontier is that when I get around 6 or 7 horseshoes they disappear. AND I DON’T USE THEM. It has happened twice. They owe me 10 horseshoes back!
I agree with a lot of things that people said…they should give out free horseshoes….bytheway does anybody know where to get free tools, or any gifts at all??? If you do…it would be much appreciated for people 2 know!!
@ Allyson they do give out free horseshoes via leveling up, The Inn Collection and some timed missions also have given them out. Free tools turn in the crafting collection, and 2 or 3 other collections give tools also. @ Connie E-mail Zanga support you can find the link at the bottom of the game screen tell them about your problem they will help you out. @ Bunners if you are smart about it and have good neighbors you will be able to play much longer. Try gifting lunches to all of your neighbors everyday you should get a lot back( I have well over 2000 lunches in my inventory.) You could also have alot of fruit trees to harvest (Peach being the best) and planting crops this will give you a good start on buliding your food up. No need to pork over cash. I have put a grand total of $10 in this game and it was a gift card that I got at Christmas time for a stocking stuffer.
PS. IF you see ANY post saying you will get free horseshoes it is a SCAM!! Zanga did have banners at the bottom of the game screen last week where you answered a poll and you got 3 free horseshoes I had 2 different ones they work it is from Zanga.
I love this game, it is so addictive. Remember, sometimes Zynga e-mails you a special horseshoe offer. For example, if you recently started playing they may e-mail you 10 or more free horseshoes. So, keep an eye out for that! Have fun.
I have purchased the vanilla several times and recieved any. . . and why is it so hard to get horseshoes ? ? After while I wil stop playing is it always so hard to ever get ahead. I have all the building 1/2 build and then I hve to go beg for someone to send me a item. . . The worst being water, it’s like no one ever gets this request, am lucky if I get one a day and I have several trees in my inventory that I won’t plant till I can get some water . . .
