I have just received a new timed mission in FrontierVille and apparently I’m the last person on earth to get it: The Cattle Drive is the name of the new mission and I’ve seen reports now that it was supposed to go live on December 28th. However, I just got it and since some other people might be in my situation, I’ve decided to share all the details with you.
In order to complete the Cattle Drive Mission you need to complete the following requirements:
- Sell 20 Adult Cows.
- Get 20 Rodeo Hats
- Get 20 Bags of Feed
You can accept the mission by January 7th and you have 4 days to complete it, so if you don’t have the adult cows (I find myself in this situation), you should buy them ASAP and start feeding before getting the mission.
After completing the Cattle Drive mission, you will receive as a reward 250XP and 1 Horse. I would’ve expected something better for the new year…

When i first got on here you said 20 ox now its cows im upset cause we trust you to give us correct info and we act accordingly and now i have 20 ox growing instead of cows.
Jamie things do change on Zynga, remember this company is about as stable as plutonium. Growing cows CAN be a nuisance – Im trying to do 15 for this one, having sold my 5 adult I had when it started – but if you do it properly, cows can grow to adult in about 2 1/2 – 3 days, which is the time alotted for this quest.

But hey. If you look at it from an objective viewpoint, you’re actually getting nothing at all.
What happens if I fail this mission? Will I get another opportunity to do this mission?

I too read your blurb about 5 or less days ago and now also find its cows..
I had just bought and sold 12 cows for another mission…..
not your fault at all………………………..

Yeah, I got part way through the time and realized I was growing ox instead of cows. Couldn’t get my cows done in time- one feeding cycle short. So another mission gone to waste for me. :-/
I was late for the mission… Will I get another opportunity???
Apparently, we can’t replay failed missions…
