First it was the White Buffalo that introduced the injured animal mechanic to FrontierVille and now it’s the Black Deer we’ll have to care for: the new animal (pictured below, both injured and healthy) will be soon released in the game by Zynga.
You can find this little injured FrontierVille Black Deer while feeding animals on your homestead or while chopping trees: as in the case of the White Buffalo, you will need critter milk in order to restore its health, but right now we have no exact information on the exact number of critter milk required for the Black Deer.
Either way, make sure that you heal up any White Buffalos you might have on your homestead otherwise you might not find an injured Black Deer in FrontierVille!

You do not need to heal buffalo to get a deer, I have had two several times on my homestead
