The release of the new in-game feature, the Orchard (as well as the option to store trees inside) has been followed by the launch of a set of six new trees that we can either purchase from the market or receive (and send) as free gifts to our friends – something that many players have been asking for in the past and overall a new series of items that will certainly be appreciated!
Let’s start with the freebies, since these are most welcomed in FrontierVille: the cool looking White Peach Tree, Green Apple tree and Sour Cherry Tree (all available to be sent as free gifts):
If that’s not enough for you and you have some Horseshoes to spend, you can purchase three new types of trees from the FrontierVille market: Raspberry Bush, Plum Tree or Almond Tree, each for the price of 30 HS a piece. Pretty expensive, especially since these special trees can only be watered with water from the Well!

yes i believe that the need additions to the game always a good thing expanding a game is always fun for the people that truly love to play but i mean i think im going to have to go with what others have said about the horse shoes, i mean do you ever think i could be possible that maybe you could sell the trees for horse shoes or for a price that you feel would be equivalent to those horse shoes in coins. Not that i am complaining about the horse shoes i really buy my fair share but i know that i have over a million coins i dont know how many other people might have this but i mean even if you made the trees say 500,000 coins a piece it would at least give people that couldnt afford to buy horse shoes a fighting chance to have “the cool stuff” just at a costly price but fair none the less. Just a suggestion. Thank you for your time.
Don’t like the idea of such cool items only available for horseshoes… For decorations, I can understand, but there I’m quite disappointed…

you can get the HS trees (almond, plum, raspberry) also by turning in their respective collection.
… and the collection items for the 3 new tree collections are carepackable (put one on your wishlist, open carepackage to get it, works every 6-8h)
Great idea to have some new trees, but who’s bright idea was it to have to ask for spring water for them? I certainly won’t be growing many of them if you have to ask for water every time. And I won’t be paying h/s for any either.
Beware: When your neighbors visit and water these trees, it told me I didn’t have enough water and the popup came up for me to ask for more. I asked for more and it brought the box to post to the wall. But then 4 more popups popped up (one for each tree) and when I was clicking off of them, it clicked on purchase water. So it took 50 of my horseshoes for water I didn’t even want to click on. So when your neighbors water the trees I suggest decline their help so this doesn’t happen to you.
Im trying to finish the orchard mission and IV requires that i tend to 30 trees in the orchard.. only it wont work… i click on harvest.. nothing happens.. i click on view trees and harvest nothing happens..
now if they mean to water it.. they need to say that.. as in the past.. ‘tend’ meant to harvest.!
@Tara You should try to log a complaint with zynga. I had a similar issue. Whenever you run out of energy, that pop up appears where is asks if you want to buy the 7 course meal, or the all you can eat meal (for 10 HS!) While I was doing the missions where you had to click on so many bonus options, I inadvertantly clicked on the 10 HS meal, not once, but on TWO separate occasions. I logged a complaint and they were nice enough to reimburse my 20 HS.
Kristina, I did just that. They gave me my 50 HS plus a pink alpaca for the trouble. And it happened within 24 hours. Yeah Zynga.
Josephine, Click on your orchard and click harvest trees. It should show you how many trees need watering. Change the number from one to how ever many you have or need and click to water them. It should work. You may have to do it several times if you don’t have 30 of one type of tree in the orchard.
When i posted the comment that was what i was doing.. it FINALLY worked.. after posting the same comment on their Fan Page.
NOW my problem is that last night i got 8 spring waters froim friends. i did NOT use any of them. this morning i got 6 More in the gifts.. (all knew as it allowed me to send them a thank you gift) so i go to water the new trees i was gifted.. well i get 2 of them watered. and when i click to water more.. it says im OUT of spring water.
and also. My well is NOT giving any spring water.. its on its second build. and to get them from collections i have to be able to harvest the orchard a bunch more times.
Not Worth the frustration! I do not have the real $$$ to spend on buying horseshoes to play the game. this has been my favorite.. but its fast losing even that appeal
Josephine, my water is doing the same thing. Does not matter how many I get, after 2 clicks I am out. I have reported it to Zynga but will see if they respond. My well doesn’t give water either. My shower gives me a water can but it can’t be used for trees. Wonder why I get it.

i just want to say i found a golden appletree on my homestead. it’s not mentioned anywhere and i can’t buy it and on the market and i don’t remember how i got it but i’m pleased with it. anybody else has the same surprise?
The golden apple tree is a reward for finishing a mission.
I keep running out of water also. Can’t water my trees and have to constantly ask for water. Don’t usually get any after my requests. Is there another way to get water?
@Erin (and others having trouble getting water)… The well has been giving me 1-3 waters per day to help those special trees. I strongly suggest you build a well!!!
#2- never forget this is a social network game, zynga wants you to add friends/neighbors so you can get the things you want… so go ahead and add some responsive players (!) oh, and #3- the well, if you keep this going for yourself, there’s a jackalope badge to be had !
Constantly reconstructing the well shouldn’t be any problem. The XP rewards for delivering well parts are very high (and should be very attractive to your neighbors)… I think its 200XP or 250XP when they deliver one of those parts. Anyone who isn’t level 100 should be clicking those like crazy !
I am over level 100 and I click on them like crazy because it takes 100,000 to level up.
u purchased the almond tree since its quite attractive in the picture. but when it is already ripe im so disappointed. its different than whats in the market photo.. the fruit is so small i can barely see.. just like in raspberry
